We used to pay some 60 to 80 Pesos for a trip from Amorsolo,Makati city to Hobbies mall, Pasay... some 4 kms...
Taxi's are relatively cheaper though...

If you are going to hire a taxi for a whole day then I'd say its going to cost you. if you will do this, you might as well rent a car. some renting companies offers the inclusions of driver in the Philippines anyways, you can also choose to bring a guide or a driver guide. I don't know if you can find one in Google though...

From what I know, there is only one car rental outlet in diPolog, cant remember the name either. It is about 1,800 P a day. But through a friend of mine there, I was able to get a local guy with car to drive me around for 1,400P...whole day, and he doubled up as a reliable guide as well.
