Happy 2010!
I have decided to live my "best life". For me that means combining rewarding vacation with meaningful vocation.
While searching for a path which allowed me to use my many blessings to help others, I discovered my path began within nature. Nature is my altar and has always provided me with spiritual balance, peace and clear priorities. When I am surrounded by the grace of nature, I am most able to connect to other human beings through compassion, understanding, courage and hope.
Have you thought about teaching English? People are desperate to learn.
Well, you can opt to work for/in a cruise ship. Working in a cruise ship allows you to travel around the world and it gives you the chance to interact with a lot of people. People from different places and cultures. Certain cruise ships hire lecturers and with this job, you can share your knowledge about nature and on how you can help them help change the world...
Not sure. Seen a lot of organizations on the web hooking people up with volunteer gigs but they always cost money. I've had acquaintances who just go to the country they are interested in first and ask around while they are there. One ended up working 3 months on an organic farm in Guatemala, the other is in Nicaragua right now. I think she's doing something related to clean water. If you are from the U.S. there is also the Peace Corps which will set you up for 2 years in a foreign volunteer gig with expenses paid including airfare to and from the country of service. They do environmental work with local communities in some of the programs.

When it comes to the tiny Mountain Kingdom of Bhuton. You will need a permit to get in. Check differnt websites because most people explore Bhuton as part of a tour as this country limits the amount of Tourists in its country. If you go in the spring check out the Hymalian Blue Poppie its a beatiful flower that is native to the area. Happy travels,
Adri
You will probably want to check out the Thailand/Laos/Cambodia part of the world. I think fabyomama's idea on teaching English is actually a good one - do an onling ESOL teaching course and you'll be prepped to teach the locals of some amazing locations
Teaching English is the way to go for longterm travel. I am teaching English in China right now and am able to check out SE Asia from here. I dont know where I will go next but I will probably use the experience I gained from teaching to get me there. Plus Its a job that pays and normally provides free accommodation for teachers. Good luck on your journey!
Ben
