As a matter of course, the Australian Tax Office won't pass this information onto overseas authorities, however if the overseas authority requests the information, then depending on the circumstances, the Australian Tax Office may release it.
Also, it is compulsory for Australian employers to pay a certain percentage of your wages into Superannuation (retirement fund). As a foriegn national, you can generally appy for this to be transferred back to a retirement fund in your home country upon leaving Australia, however this does require the release of information about your earnings to be passed onto certain authorities in your home country.
