I'm also 21 and from Blackburn, flying out from Manchester on the 8th of jan with a weeks stop over in hong kong.
Have you found a job in coffs harbour? I'm also headed to Sydney but was going to look for something whilst im over there for a 2nd year visa.
I'm going solo too so would be goo to know someone who's out there at the same time x
thats great seems like we have the same idea! Ive found a few working hostels there, it seems the best thing to do is what u planned look once ur in sydney. Im now thinking of booking a hostel for 2 weeks in sydney to sort out bank account etc then giving a few places a call to see if they have work?
Would be great to do it together! any ideas where u want to stay in syd? xxx
Yeah it seems where on the same wavelength, I thought once your there you'll be able to find what work you want anyways so not really bothered with looking beforehand. Just making sure I do some farm work for a 2nd visa and then maybe a sponsership.
Same here, you'll be out there before me as I don't land until the 17th. I'm defo up for it over there. Was looking into that wake up hostel, what about yourself, you seen any you like? Xx

Im also travelling to aus at the start of Jan. Im 18 (will be 19) from Buckinghamshire and will be travelling alone. I have no idea what i am going to do or where i am going to go at the moment! I don't really have a time frame on my travels either. I would love to meet some people to travel around with maybe.. I was researching going to straight to sydney and getting used to life on the other side of the world first staying in a hostel for a couple of weeks and then going to do farm work to get my second year visa.

I think im gonna book into a hostel in sydney for 2 weeks to start off with to get use to it too. where will u fly from? then looking for some farm work. have u got ur visa yet? xxx

i looked at the wake up hostel it looks nice, also looked at another one about 15 mins outside the city called blue parrot. its so hard to decide which one to book xx
Just looked at that blue parrot hostel, it looks nice. It'll be a bit quieter with it just being outside the centre.
