Beginner - photo upload

I am a beginner today and I have used I-pad (1) to set up my membership.

Hi SCorbett, copying my answer from email here as well in case it helps anyone else with the same question.

There's two options.

1. You can email in your entries and attach photos. In the settings, you'll need to turn on the option to allow mailing in of entries. It will then show you a email address that you can send your blog posts to. You can just attach photos to your email and they will show up.

2. You can use our mobile site at . When you are editing your blog entries on there, there is a +Photos link to add photos. After clicking on that, there is an option to Upload . You will be asked to install a third party app to make this possible. From there, I hope it makes sense.

Unfortunately the iPads and iPhones don't allow websites access to the file system, which is why these workarounds exist.

I was also a new user of the blog with an iPad and found it quite frustrating- until I figured it out. I found it easiest to use the #2 option that Peter pointed out. We couldn't get the email version to work. Also have open the blog on travellerspoint.com so you can flip back and forth. The m. site is really just useful for getting the pictures in your photo gallery. Be sure to edit them here (captions) before you put it into the blog. After you get the photos downloaded into the photo gallery then switch to the regular entry site. Along the tool bar with font size, etc right above where you type there is a small icon that looks like a frame- this will allow you to choose photos to insert. When you click on that icon it will insert a picture at that point in your entry. Don't use the back button but rather close out that window and when you go back to your entry, the pictures should be listed. When you hit publish- they will appear in the blog. Hope that helps-
