Hello everyone,
Im travelling to Melbourne on the 19th November after doing a month in Thailand. Im travelling with others but they are looking to stay in Melbourne and work, where as i want to see as much as i can! I want to leave Melbourne and travel to Sydney before Christmas- is there anyone else who is doing the same and wouldnt mind me joining them?
Will it be really hard to get into hostels around Christmas time?
Also where is the better place to be for Christmas or New years eve?

me and a friend get into Melbourne on the 2nd of November, planning on heading up to Sydney for xmas and new year some time in December. we booked our hostel for xmas and new year back in july because most of the places get booked pretty quick!

I plan to fly out to Oz in early Novemeber, have been looking staying in Sydney but accomodation over Christmas and New Year is beginning to be an issue!
I've been to Melbourne before and its a great city so am now considering staying there until the new year instead.
What are your plans, are you going on WHV?
Hey, are all the hostels fully booked then? Im heading out on a WHV, plan to only work if i have to though! We havent booked anything (other than our flights), we want to be able to be flexible and not have anything booked- would you say that its going to be really hard to find a hostel around that time?
