Hello, I'm looking to travel to Colombia over Christmas for about 2 weeks. I want to travel to 4 cities during that time. Any suggestions?
And what is the best way to travel? (bus, plane) And can anyone suggest any websites to book travels within Colombia?
I'd land in Cartagena, spend three days there. Carta is a beautiful site for JUST THAT LONG...Then it's a pain. It's on the Caribbean, but the water is brown and it's not friendly to beach time. Then go to Santa Marta (and Taganga, over the hill, and Tayrona) and then finish in Medellin. I'd fly out of Medellin, (which would put you back in to Carta for a short time, but easier.) I'd bus from Carta to Santa Marta...and then bus from Santa Marta back to Carta and on to Medellin, then fly home.
I lived in Colombia for two years...I yearn for it pretty much every second day. You'll love it.

Have you been Bogota? I have from people to visit.
You should check out Bogota for sure! It's awesome. My brother-in-law had a conference there about 2 months ago, said it's awesome. The elevation killed him though.
I found this site had a good overview of what to expect from bogota, -snip- but there is information about it all over the web.
As for booking stuff, LAN is the best. They have endless amounts of wine on their flights, but they are also the most expensive in Latin America.
