We are going to Europe in February and hope to stay for 2 nights in Singapore
Here some hotel that you can consider:
Orchard-Somerset (Holiday Inn On the Park, York Hotel)
Bugs (Allyson Hotel, Park Royal on Beach Rd, Landmark Village Hotel)
City Hall (Peninsula Excelsior, Carlton Hotel)
If budget is a concern, this [snip] might help. You can sort hotels according to room rates so you'll know which hotel fits your budget. You can also sort hotels according to distance from certain landmarks. Hope it helps!
Shangri La Hotel, Orange Groove Road is still the best all round.
I agree the best hotel! Expensive, but the best!
Depend on which area you want to explore. Normally. Tourist would choose to stay at Clarke Quay area. It is neaerby Chinatown and marina bay sand. Actually, people can walk from marina bay sand to Clarke quay. Or walk from Clarke quay to Chinatown. If you stay at Clarke quay area will be very convenient. There are a lot of hotels located nearby Clarke quay area. In addition, you can take travel from Clarke Quay to Harbourfront by MRT (purple line). Harbourfront has a shopping mall called ViVo city. From Vivo city can take Sentosa Express to Sentosa Island. The Universal Studio is located at there. The underwater world also at there. There are a lot of fun for anybody.
Parkroyal on beach road worked for us - a short way out of the centre meant much lower prices, and it's five minutes walk to either of two mrt stations.
Or, for a treat stay at the skypark as only their residents get to use the rooftop pool. Amazing architecture designed to look like a cruise ship sitting on top of three skyscrapers. Wonderful rooftop spa with infinity pool, for me it was the biggest "wow" to Singapore.
