Traveling from New York City to New Orleans

Hello everyone,

You will wait all month if you try hitching in the States, or be picked up by someone who will do you harm.

As usual you are talking absolute rubbish about something you know nothing about. Hitch hiking is becoming more and more popular again with the increases in travel expenses. There are lots of ride share websites out there like Craiglist and Gumtree. Anyway he wasnt asking about advice on travel, but on where to go!

To the OP, it depends on what you are interested in, as there are a number of different routes south you can take. Do you like history, do you want beaches, or mountains? You can make a route that takes in civil war sites, or music sites, or just odd places like Intercourse Pennsylvania. Tell us a little more about what you might be interested in and we can give you some ideas.

Thanks Dodger,

We are very interesting in music hence why we want to go through the southern states like Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.

One major point of interest is Hatch Show Print in Nashville, I am a graphic designer so am interested in all aspects of art, design, architecture anything like that.

Odd places and things to do are what we love. To give an example we did a 'sour toe cocktail' in Dawson City, so we are interested in doing anything that is weird and wonderful and maybe even a little gross. Intercourse Pennsylvania sounds pretty funny.

We also dig a bit of history.

Hope that gives a little bit more insight into what we like to do.
