Hi!

Hi projectjunior, I'm afraid we don't allow html to be embedded in our blogs at all, so this won't be possible. The best option is indeed a link.

If you want to make the link more enticing, stick the first photo of your slideshow in the blog entry and wrap the link around that, so that when they click on the photo it starts up your slideshow.

On a side note: I see you uploaded photos which I doubt are yours.
Peter, could you check this please and see if we allow them.

Well, I'm not going to go hunt down copyright for all the photos uploaded I wouldn't have time left to do anything else. Members of the site need to take responsibility for what they upload. Projectjunior, if you don't have rights to use them, I'd recommend setting them to not show in your gallery. This way you can still use them for personal reference without infringing on anyone's rights.

Uhm, no that wasn't my intention either.
But in this case it was obvious when checking the photos as a moderator that quite a few weren't his.
Sorry for the misunderstanding

I agree, they don't look like his photos. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have permission to upload them There are plenty of license-free photos out there that people can use for example. Trying to work all that out is just too much for us to worry about Considering he's really getting no personal benefit out of uploading them here, I don't think we need to concern ourselves.

I know you don't like the dodgy copied photos. Neither do I really. I think we all like to see original quality on TP. But sometimes it's just not worth pursuing.

Thank you Peter, that is indeed what i did!

About the photos, we are actually using the site to create a class room project with 10 years old students. We did one post just to see how it would work and then the boys had to upload their own photos. I think some of them just didn't found enough in their own photo albums and looked for some in the web, we allowed it, since some of them really did not have as much photos (and as interesdting) as their classmates! We didn't think we were breaking any rules, sorry for that!

What you might want to do with situations like that in the future is educate your students to use Creative Commons photography and let them know to use attribution properly.

It's not so much our rules that you're breaking when uploading those photos, it's the copyright rules that protect the photographers in question. They often (rightly) just don't want to have their photos spread all over the internet with absolutely no reference to where they came from.
