Honeymoon in Thailand suggestions!!

Hi all, was lucky enough to get engaged 2 weeks ago and have set the wedding for 16 March 2013!! Going to be a big wedding and there will be a lot of work getting it organised within 5 months so I'm looking forward to having a relaxing honeymoon afterwards!! Just looking for some ideas from people.

I should probably add that our budget for accommodation is around $300 per night...

Thanks again

Phuket and Chiang Mai are popular with women. Usually the smart man has no say in these things because he knows he will be in the doghouse for a long time if YOUR honeymoon is not perfect! If he has no real input he can't be blamed for a wrong decision!

A budget of $300 per night is in the upper luxury level for any hotel. In a country where a basic hotel room with A/C, private toilet, TV and maid cleanup can be found starting around $20 US or less in smaller cities. (Assuming this is Australia or US dollars and not Hong Kong or Singapore dollars!)

Phuket will be fine. But my recommendation is for you to try to visit other places other than just beaches! Bangkok, besides Chiang Mai, is also worthy of at least a couple days visit!

Since all of Thailand has summer like weather you could even get a tan in Chiang Mai!

For March the weather may be a little hot but nothing you can't handle. One thing going for you for March is that hotels at that time should be offering some good discounts. Since December and January being the most expensive time of year to visit the rest of the year has fewer tourists and hotels lower prices to snare what business is available.

The country passport you enter Thailand with determines if you need a tourist visa or not. If passports are Australia and Spain you shouldn't have any problem getting a Visa Exemption stamp at the airport.

Visit for at least 2 weeks. A few more days in Thailand won't cost that much more, especially if you choose a hotel at only a $100 a night!

Up to you.

Hi ada, you can check honeymoon thailand, you can search it through the internet. they have honeymoon package there which only cost $1600+ per person... with great itinerary... OR you may consider Boracay Island in the Philippines as an option, ... since Travel + Leisure Magazine ranked the Island as the World's number 1, with your budget of $300, i'm sure you'll be spending your honeymoon there like a queen & king... lots of resort accommodation that would suit your honeymoon set up... you may search for boracay beach real estate dot com ,lots of options there.... Enjoy your honeymoon!

Dear Ada, I do agree with your choice of Thailand for your honeymoon trip. And I agree with karazyal idea above. The reason for this email is just to share my own opinion to make this such a nice trip to a wonderful one in life. Thailand could be your first option, but Cambodia can be your second one.

If you both are the beach lovers, historian, or the wildlife lovers, Cambodia is great to offer you all. Sihanoukville and Koh Kong are the best places for honeymooners who are the beach lovers. Accommodate at SongSaa Island Resort or 4 Rivers Floating Lodge to chile out with amazing views of the sea and forest.

Siem Reap, Angkor Wat is the wonder place for you to learn some history of the marvel temple of Cambodia during your holiday. Siem Reap also can offer you lots of nice boutique resorts and hotels during your stay there.

Spotting wildlife and visit the wonderful tribe people with Gibbon Spotting Cambodia in the Northern of the country if you are the wildlife lovers. Come and See Cambodia Differently!

Check out the Cambodia Website to find out more.
Cambodia has more to offer you with an unforgettable experience in life.

Enjoy your honeymoon!
