travelling alone.....

really want to travel australia next year.... specific dates and locations arent set as yet, im just looking into it but im pretty apprehensive about doing it alone and not too sure where to start anyone who has any advice or is wanting to travel would be greatly appreciated if they could help me out

Panda- Will you just be travelling? Not working whilst in Aussie??

hello, im travelling sea and aus next year so il be there around janu/feb depending on how much time i spend in sea but you will be fine alone.

Panda, there's no reason to be apprehensive.

Since you're a nervous traveller without much experience then Australia is an excellent choice. As I've mentioned on this forum before you're choosing a destination country that speaks (sort of, haha) the very same language, listens to mostly the same music, eats much the same food, wears mostly the same clothes, etc. etc. etc... the list goes on and on...

Australia is not intimidating or difficult in the slightest. It has an excellent infrastructure for backpackers and budget travellers. Honestly, it's a really really easy place for a first time traveller - but it's just different enough to be fun and exciting.

Relax, have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

i would prob work in oz yeah!
terry - thanks, i guess its just th idea of going somewhere different and new on my own!

Just remember, Panda... Australia is not that different and it's not that new... once you get there you'll only be on your own if you so choose.

It's a very, very easy destination.

Tranquilo and have fun.

Cheers,
Terry

Hi Panda,
There are quite a few solo travel advocates on this forum. If you ever need a confidence boost, flick through my fave thread - .
You're in the right place for researching your trip too! Check out the guide or search the forums for your interests - ? ? ? - there's some ace tips on locations and not-to-be-missed activities.
Most of all... do it do it do it! Aussies are a pretty nice bunch, if I do say so myself
