I'm going Australia in feb/march 2013 all on my own lol, going to get a flight to Sydney and that's as far as my plan at the moment! Need to meet few people on here who doing the same because I do not wanna go there and try to fit myself in groups lol
I'll be doing a similar thing. Probably arriving in Sydney in early January (but perhaps mid-late Jan). From there I think I'll fly up to Cairns and then leisurely make my way down the east coast all the way to Melbourne. I'd also love to squeeze in Perth if I have the time (and money).

I'm looking at going out (on my own aswell) around the end of January and I'm trying to work out what on earth im doing! I'm defintely looking at working through a decent part of it, maybe on a farm or a bar or through a working hostel somewhere, so I at least have the option of a second Working VISA. Locations and stuff are still a bit up in the air though. I kinda don't know where to start and what to do first! I'll probs look to work through the sort of winter (its got to be better than the UK right?) period somewhere, and i know i want to do surfers paradise, the reef, uluru etc but in what order... i dont know!
Im looking at booking flights to either sydney, brisbane or melbourne in the next couple of days. If youre up for a meet or planning summat beforehand or anything, drop me a bell

Hey I'm planning on starting in either Adelaide or Melbourne in first couple of weeks in jan and working my way round the coast to cairns, by time you fly into Sydney I will prob be around that area.... Somewhere I'm guessing! I haven't gone as far as booking flights yet, so haven't planned anything at all. I have an Australian passport (although havnet been back since i was 3) so don't need to worry about visas, so for me I can just book a flight and go. Which is why I'm being even more lazy about planning i think.... But trying to start now and like you trying to meet new people along the way! Would be good to know a few people first though!

I'm planning on going to Australia in February! I'm the same in that I pretty much have no plans other than I'm looking at starting in Sydney then making my way up the East Coast. Really unsure how to go about it all though as there just seems so much to do and lots of ways to do it! Glad other people are in this situation too..
