I work online and am thinking of taking a trip travelling around Vietnam. Does anybody have any recent experience of the mobile internet signal in certain areas.? The idea is to use my phone as a wi fi base as I travel. Has anyone done this? Its crazy, but being location independent means I´m tied to where I can get a 3G signal
oh you can peace of mind with the Wifi in Vietnam, except remote areas. But I think that when you take trips to visit or discover anywhere in Vietnam you'll be attract by the mystery, beauty, unique of Vietnam and when you want to work you can do at the hotel you stay. all hotels have wifi in Vietnam.
it is readily available. if you want to use Facebook, I suggest looking into purchasing a VPN.
All hotels in Vietnam have wifi and almost places in Vietnam have 3G signal except on the moutain.

Vietnam has 3G network already ( have 3 big providers in Vietnam own 3G technology and sucess deloy base on GSM ). I think you should buy a sim card of Vietel then register 3G, you cant talk to saler. If you want to save your money, you can use MinMax package for a month use 3G ( 70.000 VND/month) but fixed volume data, then decrease the bandwidth.

All most of 3 stars Hotel in Vietnam have wifi and free of charge, but incase you go some palce no wiffi so better you buy 1 vietnam simcard to use for wifi.

Internet is very popular. You can use wifi anywhere at a coffee bar or in any hotel. During the time you stay in Vietnam, if you want to use 3G, you can buy a sim card of Vietnam.
Don’t you know, the internet is very popular in Vietnam? a lot of Vietnamese use smart phone, I phone. Thus, please do not worry; you still can you 3G while you are in Vietnam.
