Hi guys,
Hi mate
I would also like clarification on this. I am planning to go in september as well, but have heard so many different stories. I think the difficulty with India is that it is so big. While some parts of the country up North may be great this time of year, in the South everything including the weather may be the complete opposite.

hi guys
there is not any problem in india ...you may happily visit india :0)) and joelie83 i am agree dude that india is too much big and beautiful also ;-)
Joel and Danny - depending on where you want to go, climate wise this may or may not be a good time to go. But this time of the year is usually good everywhere - south is not too hot, north is not too cold.
South India has so much to visit & explore...Chennai, Mahabalipuram, Tanjore, Trichy, Tanjhavur, Madurai etc... What you have to do is the most concerning thing. Temples, Beaches, Cuisines and so on....just choose a theme & keep posted on this forum.
Hope would get a great experience....

South India during Aug-Sep is absolutely fine as it won't be too hot, as it is towards the end of monsoon season. As Avinash suggested you can either chose a theme or do a mix of everything. Beaches, hill stations, forests, you name it, we have it.
cheers,
Vikas
