Hey,
I guess you know you will need a working Visa, don't work without one or you will be in deep shit if caught.
I should try and secure a job before leaving if you are relying on the funds from the work.
You might not be stopped at immigration but if you are and you haven't sufficient funds for the trip you will not be allowed in.
Sydney is a great place to visit though best of luck.
