Ok, if I state I am from Philippines and I was invited by this certain person. Is it possible that instead of my proofs of funds to be submitted, I will submit my sponsor's proofs of funds instead?
Applications are considered individually. Requirements vary by Schengen country and interpretation can vary by consulate.
Essentially, they will want to see that you have the ability to support yourself and have a valid return ticket.
I think you have to go to your local French consulate and make enquiries.
