Hi guys am currently in australia and i want to travel to thailand the people i was travelling with want to remain in oz can use tell me is it safe to travel thailand alone?
It's safe just follow the typical rules of all travels, like don't go walking down dark alleys at night etc.
Thailand is actually a pretty safe place from what I've seen from living here.
if you don't feel comfortable traveling alone there are travel packages that you can join to help you make quick friends.
when do you plan on going??
and more importantly---why don't your friends want to go with you?!
I spent five months in Thailand and I can say it's quite safe. As long as you don't look for trouble, of course.

Hey.
I went to Thailand last year for about a month. As a solo traveler, I can tell you it was alright. You'll make friends as you go along. Try to catch as many places as you can. Island hopping is fun and safe (Koh Tao, Phangan etc). You can also go for commercial tours where there's a whole bunch of other ppl (Lomprayah tours are the best).
Spend as little time in Bangkok as you can. It will swallow you whole in a few days. Don't believe the Khao San Road hype.
