Just out of curiosity, was there something local in cape town recently which mentioned this site? We've been getting quite a few new members like yourself from cape town popping up and asking really open-ended and hard to answer questions like this. What exactly do you expect from this site? (Are you here on a school assignment?)
You're currently in the Forums section of travellerspoint. Regular people like yourself answer each other's travel-related questions, based on their own travel experiences. So I can tell you, from my own experience, that Lake Tekapo in New Zealand is an awesome place to go to. But generally, just blurting out a favorite place like that is not really helpful, as it might be completely unsuitable given your budget, time of the year you'd want to travel, length of time you'd want to travel, and personal interests (are you looking for culture, nature, beach, hiking, adventure activities, party, ...?)
So, to actually get useful advice, try to give information on at least a few of those subjects (as well as stating where you're from, so people don't need to look at your profile to figure that out). Or start by browsing a bit through our (and feel free to improve its information on Cape Town if you feel like it; it's a wiki, so anyone can edit it). Then, when you have more specific questions to help you plan your trip in detail, come back to this forum, and see how useful it can really be.
