Mid May, we are staying in the Douro Valley for 2 nights and then heading back to Porto. Looking for a great place to stay in the Douro Valley with spectacular views. So far looking at Hotel Rural Quinta Do Pego and Quinta de Santo Antonio. Do you have any other recommendations and/or do you know anything about these two places? Also, would you expect it to be very warm (some of the hotels have swimming pools). Thanks so much!

Both options you presented are quite nice and I believe you will enjoy them.
Another option, closer to the river is http://www.quintadelarosa.com/. They have an excelent Port Wine (the one I drink in my place with my frinds).
