Hey definitely one of the things I want to do if I end up going to Thailand in August. Do you know what date it is on? I have read somewhere that it is the 28th but somewhere else it said the 21st? x

I have nothing booked yet but this is what I think I would do roughly. Fly into Bangkok around 4th august as this is when i break up from uni, then head south towards the beaches see the normal must see sights on the way (tigers, elephants, temples etc). full moon on the 21st, then I will probably have to head back to england a few days later as I only have 4 weeks off from uni . Pretty much just want to see/do as much as reasonably possible, and have fun.
What were your plans? is there any areas that are a definite must see?

You been Thailand before?
I have booked my accommodation over fmp - The beach Village backpackers.
I fly on the 11th August then staying in Bangkok for a few days to sort myself out then heading straight up to koh phangan for the fmp.
To be honest I don't really have plans as of yet, just booked the flights and thought the timing for the party was too good to miss.
I want to do a bit of volunteering while I'm out there, get off the beaten track and get certified for scuba as well as the other tourist trail things. Hopefully after I've had my fill of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia I'll be heading on to Oz yeah.
So far all I've seen of Thailand is the international airport for a few hours on a connecting flight to New Zealand haha.
Yeah I was looking at the village backpackers as well!
