I'm going to adelaide in June from London to join my brother who currently works there. I've been there before and it's one of the easiest capital cities to get around. For one, the airport is probably the closest airport to the city you can get in an australian capital. There are free city centre shuttles and many of the museums are free.

I'm just looking at booking my flights at the moment - I'm thinking Singapore airlines atm as they appear to have the best fares.
Hi Kailey, I went with Singapore airlines, them as well as Malaysian had the best price and most direct flights. I hear it's a good airline too! I'm getting to Brisbane end of June and will be heading up to Cairns sometime after that probably around August. Are you getting to Adelaide late June-mid July and then giving yourself a few months to get up to Cairns via Sydney/Brisbane?
Would love to go to Fiji as well but after my year in Oz is up! James

Unfortunately I only have 4 weeks so I'm planning on travelling roughly:
Adelaide - 3 days
Melbourne - 3 days
Sydney - 3 days
Brisbane - 7 days
Cairns - 7 days
Fiji - 5 days
I wished I had longer but work commitments wont allow it I'm afraid...
Ahh that's a shame, you'll still have an amazing time tho I'm sure lots of planning to do so hopefully you can find someone doing a similar trip! I'll be in Brisbane if you need a buddy when you're there and planning on going to a music festival in Byron Bay end of July, can't wait to finally go!!
I do have plenty of planning to do - just trying to book my flights for the start and finish is proving hard enough..
I will perhaps take you up on that offer for Brisbane - from what I've seen theres a ton of stuff to try and fit in while i'm there...
Yeah I'm sure! You might need to fly between some of the cities to make the most of your time. There are a lot of places especially around Brisbane and up towards Cairns where you might want to get a bus and stop off at. Surfers Paradise, Fraser Island, Whitsundays and so on.... I'm planning all this stuff too so if you need any help my facebook link is on my profile
