Interraling in Europe is popular. It is not too expencive and it gives you a lot of freedom to go where you want. Spain would be a good shout in April, cause there are a lot of festivals and things going on the week after easter.

hello, i suggest maximum 4 or 5 countries. If you go to let's say Italy, only in Rome you can spend 14 days Europe is not as small as it seems.
well, it all depends on what you like. You can for example choose to visit the capitals in let's say 4 countries aand another interesting place in the same country:
My perfect itinerary would be:
Italy: first 2 days Rome, the 3rd day Napoli,
Slovenia and Croatia: 4th day Liubliana and Postojna cave, 5th day Plitvice, 6th day Dubrovnik
Fly to France, Paris, stay there at least 3 days
fly or go by train to Amsterdam, stay there 2 or 3 days and visit the Keukenhof and Zaanse Schans
Two weeks is not long...
I would stick to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland..
It will still be quite cold in April, if you want something warmer then consider Italy, Austria, Switzerland and South of France instead...
