Hi all just wondering how much it cost people to back pack around Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia Etc for about three months?

Everyone spends money on what is important to them. Some allow money for beer, partying, I don't. Some want a/c rooms every night, many will be OK with a fan room. Eat where the locals do or places that cater to the backpack crowd. Or 'eat street' to really save on your food expenses. Buses are cheaper than trains, trains are safer, your decision.
The minimum I would take is $3K USD for your 3 month adventure. That is roughly $35/day for room, food, tours, transport. That is about as low as you can expect bumping around SEA. I would want $4K USD minimum if I was heading out for 3 months. Good luck with your planning.

I'm from New Zealand.
I don't have a travel plan yet.
I guess I better get cracking lol time is catching up on me hahaha.
I'm a last minute planner and I like to just go with the flow.
I didn't really want to make to many plans ahead as I'ld like to meet new people and maybe join them for the day or something like that.
1 place I really want to see is the tiger place :-)
Other than that I'm really open minded.

Hey peeps=) I'm landing into Bangkok may 6th to travel round thai, laos and cambodia for 6wks if anyone's around then..? After that heading to Oz for a month Cairns to Melbourne and then New Zealand for a couple of wks.. July 31st I head to South America for 2months. If any of these times suit anyone please let me know, going solo but would love some company along the way =)
