Hi! Im 21 and have wanted to go to mexico for ages! I have traveled alone before but only london. How is the safety in mexico for a girl when it comes to seeing places and shopping? Im not planning anny partying when i go by my self so no clubs and stuff.

Mexico has some of the absolute best - and worst - destinations/experiences south of the US border. Keep your common sense and street smarts tuned up and you'll be fine.

I first travelled to Mexico (also solo) when I was 18 and have travelled back twice since (now 21) and had very few problems.
The only thing I would recommend if you are not travelling with anyone, try to stay in an all female dorm if you are staying at hostels.
I had my Laptop stolen (out of my own stupidity) from right by my head one night and I honestly didn't feel very comfortable sleeping
after that.
Where are you looking at going? If you are looking at Cancun and do decide to go out partying I wouldn't worry about being by yourself.
Buy tickets to unlimited club crawl events and everyone mostly stays within a group. I would maybe avoid going out at night (even to markets
etc) by yourself in Tijuana and some parts of Acapulco as some Mexican men are really sleeezy and will latch on to singles.
All around Mexico City's Zocalo are market places and amazing shops. Check out the Senora witchcraft markets too, they are unreal with all types
of funky things that you generally wont see in the western world!

You'll have a fantastic time there! Yes, taxis are safe but keep your backpack in the front with you (not the boot) and make sure the meter reads either zero or the call fee (no more than 30 pesos) before it starts to move
