BEIJING HOSTEL HELP!

Hey!

Hi Luci

I stayed in the Beijing Jade Hostel for 4 nights last week - clean and relatively quiet but good dining and social area to meet people. As a girl alone I'd recommend it! The Beijing Metro is really easy to navigate from the Airport train line so it's pretty easy and very cheap to get anywhere in the city..

Hope this helps!

Emma

It is easy for you to find a hotel or hostel near the airport in Beijing. I once lived Lihao Hotel near Beijing Capital Airport which is a quasi-three-star hotel, providing economical and fast services. It is also clean and quiet.

Hey Luci,

I live in Shunyi atm, which is the district where the airport is situated.. I'd recommend getting a hostel in the city centre, there's not much around here and like Emma mentioned the Airport subway express is an excellent way to get into the centre. It's 25rmb and that will take you to Dongzhimen on line 2.. from there you can change and go to any other subway station for 2rmb (SO CHEAP WOO) I've stayed in a few hostels in Beijing namely... 'Dragon king hostel' (pleasant staff, reasonably priced rooms, clean, very close to the lama temple located on line 5, 1 minute walk from the subway stop) 'Happy Dragon Courtyard Hostel' (cheap, my room was cold ..although this was February, nice little bar, same road as Dragon king) 'Beijing Leo Hostel'... (great little place, good atmosphere, located 5 mins from Tiananmen sq) and finally my favourite, 'beijing Sanlitun Hostel'.. (great place, cool bar, cool staff, 2 mins from the bar street, clean, good atmopshere they also have hotpot partys on wednesday nights and dumpling partys on friday nights, which is a good way to meet new people and try your hand at some chinese cooking

Anyways give me a shout if you have any questions, Take it easy!!

Macca
