I am intending to travel around I-San region around the Mekong River (Nong Khai), cross the border into Vientiane (pick up Vietnam Visa) and work my way north through Laos and into Hanoi. I have a roughly mapped a bus/boat route through Luang Prabang -> Nong Khiaw -> Muang khua -> Dien Bien Phu -> Hanoi. I am staying with a friend in Hanoi but will continue south through Vietnam after this.
