I don't understand your question. Are you asking as a foreigner entering the UK or as a UK citizen departing from the UK?
If it's the latter the chip on a U.K. passport contains the same information that's on the picture page of the passport.

We have been having a discussion regarding a young man we know wanting to go abroad on holiday whilst on probation....I do not know anything about this but I said I assume this shows on your passport because I am assuming you cannot leave the country whilst on Probation...Sorry I got involved in it

No, as I stated above that information is not contained on the Passport.
That said, when the Passport is scanned his identity could very easily be cross checked against any number of databases and if one of the conditions of his Probation is no travel outside the UK then of course he is going to immediately find himself in a lot of trouble.
