I lived in France for almost half a year and ever since then, I want to go back so badly. I'm going to graduate in the Spring so I thought this will be a perfect graduation gift to me! The timing is right too.

To try to answer your questions:
Realistically speaking how many countries can I visit in a month? I'm planning in staying in each city 2-3 days.
If you're only planning to visit the cities you mentioned without exploring other parts of each country i think it's possible to do this itinerary in a month, although you might have to take one or two flights in order to save some time (to reach Morocco for example). Having been in all those places (except Frankfort and Strasbourg) i would say that 2 days are enough to visit Krakow and maybe Athens. But for all the other cities i would suggest you to stay at least 3 or 4 days in order to have a real taste of each place (especially in Istanbul and Marrakech). The railway system in Europe is well developed so you will not have to worry much about getting from one place to another, but i think it's good if you study carefully the order of the places you want to visit, comparing train and low-cost flights costs in order to save money and time. Occasionally you may have to take a bus (for example between Greece and Turkey there are no trains running anymore). In my opinion, the best thing you can do in order to plan things the right way is to purchase a good guidebook about Europe and take a look on airline companies/trains websites (in order to get cheap flights you must sometimes book far in advance!). About train travel, i don't think purchasing an would save you a lot of money, but compare the prices of normal tickets and the pass to see if it can be a good alternative

Low-cost flights: , are some of the low-cost airlines that cover many destinations in Europe but also in Morocco and Turkey.

I think you shouldn't add any other place cause you already have a lot to see in 1 month in Switzerland, you will find hiking trails everywhere, the country is a paradise for hikers. But i would recommend you go to the Valais/Wallis region (Val d'Anniviers, Val d'Herens, Zermatt...) or the Jungfrau region (Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Kiental, Kandertal...) for the most breathtaking views of the Alps. I love nature so I would suggest the Czech republic if you like scenic and Prague is quite picturesque. Same can be said for Switzerland.

There are 3 major and international swiss airports: Basel, Geneva and Zurich.
Easyjet
Flies to Geneva from: Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Budapest, Marrakech
Flies to Basel from: Amsterdam, Berlin, Budapest, Krakow, Istanbul, Marrakech
So you have many choices when it comes to including Switzerland by air in your itinerary!
I think using the train would be a good alternative if coming from Strasbourg (1h30 to Basel) or Frankfurt (3h/4h). But the train can sometimes be more expensive than a flight booked some months in advance!

Tatiana, thanks a tons!!!! Yeah, I flew with easyjet before and it saved a lot of money and time!!! I look into train tickets and check out which one is the most convenient.
