Hi,
Hi Steve
Some years ago i made the complete road trip from Darwin to Adelaide which showed pretty well the immensity of Australia
- Darwin
- 2 days in Kakadu NP
- One night bus from Darwing to Alice Springs
Then with a local tour operator the southern part from Alice Springs to Adelaide
- 2 days for Uluru and Kata Tjuta
- Coober Pedy
- The Flinders range
Then from Adelaide, I went to Kangaroo Island.
It took almost 2 weeks. I was very fund of Kakadu, Uluru, Adelaide and Kangaroo Island
I think that in 1 week you should select only one part of the traject.
Could be the north from Darwin to Alice Springs (with Kakadu & Uluru) or the south , Alice Springs to Sydney or Adelaide (also with Uluru)

Hi,
Thanks for that. So I still have the question. Knowing what you know now, what would you do, take the north or south of Alice Springs?
Steve
Humm... difficult choice !
I would say the northern part (with Kakadu and Uluru).
But if you plan the wet season in Darwin, it could be better to choose the south as you would face difficult conditions in the Top End.

I get off the Laos cruise on he 10th April 2015 & get on the Sydney one on the 19th April.
Going by what's currently hitting northern Australia I am assuming I will take your advise & investigate the southern route.
Thanks.
Steve
