Hey guys!!
Just had a conversation with my cousin who is home from new Zealand after two yrs for a visit. She convinced me to go travelling we are both 23 this yr. But she has the gift of the gab. She would get a wall to talk. But I don't. Ive nothing booked atm. I work as a receptionist with my sister in a beauty salon. Whats my chances to be gaurteented a job?? I would love to get out of here (Ireland) but then dreading in getting lonely, homesick and left stranded with no job. I know of people out there. Ive another cousin in Darwin but she's planning to come home once she gets her PR. I also have a uncle and long loss cousins out in Sydney... I don't think I could ask him to hold me up as we only hear from once a year at Christmas time via a Christmas card!!!! Any advice greatly appreciated. Maeve xx
I thought there was no situation in Ireland making you want getting out ... (((
Young people do get itchy feet but you go to another country and become a wage slave there with no change to enjoy the good life there either. And it costs so much money.
Take some short breaks. Ryanair goes to a lot of nice places and accommodation is fairly cheap this time of year.

There are never any guarantees in anything but you will never find out unless you try. Lonely you will not be, homesick - maybe but it will pass. For a bit of peace of mind, make sure you have a return ticket. And take plenty of money.
How about you skip Australia & go visit this gobby cousin of yours in NZ. She sounds like fun, & take your sister with you ( & at the the risk of upsetting everyone - NZ is much nicer anyway. More diverse scenery, smaller & not so far between places, better weather, Thermal activity & all those crazy Kiwis. ) I could quite happily live there
Steve
True. A lot of travellers that make the effort to do both countries rate NZ as being better. The fact that it's smaller means it's easier to travel the whole country and NZ very kindly allows you to stay 2 years automatically, just choose this at the time of application.
