I am a chicken who is venturing out of its nest for the first time in life. In other words, I am leaving my country India behind and crossing the border for the first time. It all started when I met someone on Facebook and he said a lot about Dhaka and how beautiful it is. I am on a break from my work and so I want to visit there now. I have been planning it for a long time but money's always been tight. I am kinda excited now (I mean, next month).
Your budget for accommodation is 2,000 INR per night? If that's the case then no problems, that's easy to find in Dhaka.
What's important now is location so you're close to your pal. Why isn't he making the arrangements?

No dear, 2400 BDT for a month. I know I won't get any in Dhaka proper, but I thought I might get something in one of the Upazilas in Dhaka district, even if it is shared by others it is fine by me. My friend is very busy these days. He a music producer lol, I have not been able to talk much to him in this month. He did say he is trying to find one for me but cannot guarantee anything due to his limited spare time
In that case my first reply stands. You need a local to arrange this.

What you're saying is sounding several warning bells in the "scam detection" section of my brains. Probably unjustified, and my apologies if so, but I figure it's worth asking anyway: How well do you really know this guy? (Only through facebook? For how long?) Are you going there solely because of this guy? Are you expecting to gain anything from going (money, work, ...) on his say-so?
Being stuck in the same place for a month, without any money to spend there, and your one contact probably too busy to rely on, does not sound like a very good travel experience to me, particularly not when it's your first time out of the country. Might be better to go at some time when he actually has time for you...

And honestly, you need to save way more money. Even trying to live as a local that budget is insanely low.
