Hi,

How many rooms are you looking for and how long is the stay.
Those hotels seem to be good. Right in downtown and near golden gate.

There are other cheap options too like:
Travel Lodge
Holiday Inn
Motel 6 -> costs like 49$ for 2 person .. u should check their site out.

Hi Mike - Thanks for your reply!

It's just for me, and for 2 nights. I have done some further investigating and am now looking at the Mosser which sounds ok...

So hard when you have no idea how honest people are being - for example I just found some reviews for one I was contemplating booking that said not to book there as it was full of bed bugs and fleas! Yuck.

Hey,

Basically,

TravelLodge,
VanessInn
Motel6

These are pretty good hotels, clean room, blankets and ameneties.
Offcourse there wont be a service like 5 star but they are good tourist or traveller's motels and the rates are < 100$.
I book these all the time .. if i am visiting somewhere ..

SF is one of our most expensive cities, and that price range is a real problem. I know this town very well since I lived there for 25 years. Location is of prime importance, and I advise you to be very careful. In my opinion, the best deal around is not a hotel at all, but a rented apartment from . If you select a good neighborhood, you'll be very happy. I recently saw one small apartment in the West Portal residential area of SF for $99. a night at airbnb - this is a very quiet and safe area with excellent light rail connections to all parts of the city (it's centrally located in this small city - small in size).
