You can go from Coimbra to Batalha by bus, you have to change bus in Leiria.
(www.rede-expressos.pt). I'm not sure that in Batalha you'll have buses to Alcobaça, probably you'll have to go back to Leiria.
From Coimbra you can go by train to Nazaré region (www.cp.pt) it's a regional train. This is the same line that you can take a train that goes to Óbidos. Using this regional train you can go from Óbidos to Mira Sintra/Meleças and there I would say that you can get a bus to downtown Sintra.
