D-Bahn Tickets

Hi to everyone!
I have a question concerning the D-Bahn tickets. I'll be travelling from Dortmund to Amsterdam and planning to buy the direct train ticket (Europa spezial) which suggests one transboarding in Duisburg. In this case everything is clear.
But what if I like to spend some time in Utrecht where the trains make a stop?

Hello,

If you plan to do this trip, than you have to look what is cheaper.
But you have to buy a ticket Dortmund-Utrecht and Utrecht-Amsterdam anyway because if you exit the train the ticket is expired, beside of that, the train doesn't stop in Utrecht.

But maybe a nice alternative is http://www.interrailnet.com/ where you can travel unlimited for 169 € trouh europe for 5 days within 10 days (if you are 25 or younger).
You can exit and board when and where you want.

Thank you, Richee!
I have found that on DB site it's possible to book the ticket with the stopovers of the certain duration - so I have a crazy plan to go from Dortmund to Amster with the 4-hours stop in Utrecht. Hope I'll be able to see something in Utrecht...

I had a bad experience by ordering my D Bahn Tickets by post. I paid for the tickets + postage fee online, but the tickets never arrived. At my second email (2weeks later) they didndt even boddered to reply. I had to purschase 2 new tickets for the same train (and more expencive).

SO BE AWARE BY ORDERING TICKETS VIA INTERNATIONAL POST !
