Hi all. I am new to Travellerspoint and still figuring out how it works. But I am looking for a cool destination in Latin America. I'm thinking Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Santiago, or Rio de Janeiro. Where would you go? Or would you go elsewhere?
Really depends on what you want. All of the above listed are huge cities, places where it's often easier to get lost in the city than appreciate the fine cultures that those places have. Often it's also more difficult to really get to know people in a city type atmosphere (talking about locals). If you really want to see a place, see the place, if you want to experience the culture, travel about in those countries. Do that and almost any place can be a cool destination.
Also remember what is a great destination to some, is a lousy place to others. It's all about mindset and how you choose to experience it.
