Hey, I was thinking of heading to oz for early october and I was wondering if 2 months was enough to explore oz or should I plan more time. Cause I also wanna go to New Zealand as well cause I heard it was amazing.
I could easily do both countries in that time. Australia is big but apart from Ayers Rock, most of what people want to see is around the coast so they fly. It is often cheaper to buy flights before arrival, and often a trip to NZ can count the same as one long distance flight in Australia, so booked with the Australia flights. You can always pick up a car at the airport to travel locally. Both countries drive on the left hand side.
NZ is best seen by car and is easy to drive around with lots of B&B's (early October is just warming up, so fairly quiet). A ferry travels between islands and you drop your car off one side and pick one up from the same agency the other side which makes life easier.
Do remember a visa for Australia. Lonely Planet guides and good maps are a good investment for both countries.
Hey, Cyberia thanks for the response but I have rethought the length of my trip and have decided to go for 6 months instead, not to be rushed and to fully enjoy this once in a lifetime trip.

6 months would be a much better trip, you'll get to explore heaps more. Have fun!
