Looking to travel to Thailand last two weeks of April.

Was wondering where the best cities to spend my time being a young 24 year old female. Do you have any tour guide recommendations ???

Why don't you go to the nearest bookstore and look at an LP guide and figure out what you want to see or do? (Not a destinations Lp guide but the regular one.) The 24 year old thing doesn't matter. There are young people all over Thailand travelling. You have to figure out if there is something specific you want to see. If you just want to party hit the islands and be done with it.

You might to see some of the culture of Thailand during your time there. Perhaps , and then take a trek in either or . Or if you just want to hit the beaches, I suggest you use as a base. Plenty of beautiful islands a ferry ride away from Krabi. is just about perfect for some beach time. Good luck with your planning.

Best 'cities' for a 24yr old female..mmmmm..Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Small towns - Krabi/Ao Nang, Hua Hin, Ayutthaya, Pai, Chiang Rai. Islands - Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Koh Samet, Koh Chang.

You can't go wrong with Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. How much you can do depends on your time and money.

In Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Phuket you can get tours through local travel agencies. Locate the travel agency closest to your hotel and check out what is available.

If you start in Bangkok for a few days you can arrange your transportation to the other cities. One popular method used to get to Chiang Mai is by overnight sleeper train. If you want that get the tickets as soon as you get to Bangkok. If your time is short you might want to fly to Phuket. Finish up in Bangkok with a night or two.

Local transportation is pretty good in Thailand. Bangkok has excellent transportation starting right from the airport. If you arrive after midnight your best option is a meter taxi. During the day and early evening you have buses and the new rail service too. If you choose a hotel near the Skytrain you can use that rail service to get around the city.

Good luck.

I'll be doing KL - Chaing Mai - Chaing Rai - Bangkok - Chiang Mai - KL in April (7 days), by flight.

Train is 14 hrs journey vs return flight Chiang Mai - Bangkok is only @ RM 220 (1hr journey) using Air Asia.
There is plenty tour agency in Chaing Mai & Bangkok. Alternatively, you may walk-in to hotels, they do have travel agency there as well.

Transport around Bangkok, is relatively good, most of the place is accessible via skytrain.
There is a City Air Terminal (Makassan CAT), travel time to Airport is only 15mins travel time.

There is a Travel Fair held in KL:

MATTA FAIR 2011
Date : 11 - 13 March 2011
Time : 10am - 6pm
Venue : PWTC, KL

You may consider the below
