I know this a maybe a obvious and personal question as everyone is different but, I'm stuck about what to take with me! I'm going to Thailand first where it will be hot, then Sydney in May where it will be getting cooler. I don't want to take too much or too little... Any advise? My bag is 60L.
Whatever you take - don't forget your mossie net!
Big bag.. I'd take a pair of jeans, shorts, a couple tanks, a warm zip sweater, and not much else. imo you can't take too little, and you can always buy anything you need when you get there.
The trick is to bring things you can wear in layers. Thin leggings that can be worn under light long pants. Thin thermal long sleeve teeshirt, that can be worn alone or under other shirt. Of course some things are easier for guys, but girls can wear a sarong, that doubles up for many things. Dont bring one, but buy one cheap in Thailand.
Never needed a mossie net anywhere. Any you can buy replant in Thailand. I never bring jeans either. They are heavy and take a long time to dry. You might also consider not bringing a heavy sweatshirt, and just buy one in Australia when you need it, that way you save having to drag it all around Thailand and you have a souvenir when you go home.
I debated not bringing jeans, but decided to simply bc you can wear them anywhere, can layer under them if necessary, and they don't really show dirt. Definitely agree with the sarong, they're awesome! Alot of it is personal and what you're comfortable in, but bring half of what you think you absolutely need, and don't bother with much haircare/makeup beyond a brush and mascara (for the odd time you want to feel dressed up!).
Thanks everyone! I'm not planning on have my bag full when I leave, I'd like to buy quite a few things wehn i'm away
