I am looking for 1-way flights.... [1 WAY FLIGHT - NOT RETURN]
Maya Island Air has a daily flight between Cancun and Belize that costs under $300 US one way and takes a little over an hour.

I ran a quick search and found one for just under $800 CDN (tax incl.)... although it does have 2 stopovers and takes about 20hrs total. I found this through momondo.com. As far as the second flight goes, it depends on your dates.. Good luck!
2 things:
1. Buying a return ticket will probably be the same price or cheaper. So book the Edmonton-Cancun and Panama-Edmonton flight section in one go.
2. Why not just fly to Cancun and start your trip overland from there. If you have two months, I wonder why you would bother with the extra flight to Belize. It's 5.5 hours from Cancun to the border with Belize at Chetumal. But stopping in Tulum first might be better, just a few hours south of Cancun and a good first stop I guess.
