There are lots of different options for RTW flights including STA, AirTreks, etc. Many airlines also offer an RTW ticket as well, although most from my understanding are within a 12 month period. How long are you planning on going for?
It is often worth considering buying tickets individually as budget airlines can reduce the cost - particularly for within a continent. Looking at your routes, I'd check out AIr Asia or Air Tiger for flights around Asia and Oceania. For example, a flight from Hong Kong to Bangkok can be as low as 60-70 GBP.
It's all dependent on how you like to travel, and what you want to see. If you want flexibility in changing flight times, and destinations you may want to reconsider an RTW ticket, however, if you prefer to have everything organized before leaving home, and are tight for time it may be a better option. Either way, for shorter flights, I'd consider looking at budget airlines or doing a section overland to see more of the country.
Going along with what flutterby7 says, Pay As You Go fares are nowadays outstripping the RTW offers more often. It's possible to get to and from just about everywhere with a budget airline today. The only limited sticky spot is across the pacific - but it's starting to get cheaper.
Both those fares and the destinations you mention, with a bit of patience - can be reduced. Plus you have the added bonus of time flexibility in each country too. Don't forget, if you plan a certain amount of time in one particular place, you can always book that onward flight before you get there.
Thanks for the replies. I will be aiming to be going for 5-6 months, but ideally as long as possible for as cheap as possible.
I have looked into getting flights individually with budget airlines, but overall it seemed to be costing me roughly £400+ more to do it this way, whereas with roundtheworldspecialists, it seems to be the overall cheaper option. I will continue to look for budget airlines and cheap travel, but at the moment, this is looking like the cheapest method.
I like the idea of being able to decide how long I stay in a place when I'm there, which you can not do with the RTW packages because you have to say how long you're going to be there when booking, which is obviously not ideal. But I will do anything to keep the costs down to be honest.
I don't mind flying budget, or going overland, or by boat or whatever, just want to be away as long as possible, for as cheap as possible.
Having done a lot of travels of this type, I'd tend to agree that the budget airlines USUALLY save you money and offer you a lot more for your buck.
As I said to someone before - Air Asia is offering a fare for about $400 US from London to Bangkok, and Kiwi Air had a US $700 from LA-Auckland with a free stop in Fiji so I think you can actually book your trip cheaper than the RTW folks are getting for you. It just takes some time and research,.

Obviously i havent actually started travelling yet , so i cant tell you if they are really any good, but fingers crossed!!!
think they were cheaper than the other lot too!
