hey ...... i live in the uk and due to start my travels in bankok nov 2011! i would like to buy a morbike and spend the first 4 months heading up to laos, through to vietnam to cambodia and from cambodia back into eastern thailand, possibly back to bangkok before i head down south to get a good resale price on the bike. has any one completed a journey like this? any big problems i havent thaught of ? insurances, cost effectivness? im an experianced rider with a good mechanical understanding .... any experiance past on i would be gratefull. cheers

I have only rented motorbikes in Thailand, Cambodia, VN. I have never tried to cross a border on a bike.
