I have actually travelled around Europe for 3 weeks and had the time of my life. Now I can't think of anything else but where is my next trip going to be!
My trip was a flight to Paris then train to Barcelona, train to Milan, train to Rome, flight to Berlin, train to Prague and train to Amsterdam and a flight home. I got the interrail Europe ticket for 22 days and it was perfect and my time on the train was so relaxing as you get a comfy bed. The longest train I had was 14 hours but you can have a really good nap and watch the scenery go by.
Barcelona and Rome were both full of amaizng monuments, architecture and tourist attractions.

I cannot speak for many of the other places you mentioned, but I WILL speak about Berlin.
It is a city packed with young people, who are always outdoors having a great time in the summer. It is cheap, good transport, tons to see during the day and during the night. The night-life is insane, the food is diverse, alcohol is cheap. Beyond just the normal history/culture/tourist sites (which there is plenty of), there is Mauerpark on the weekends (grilling, huge open-air karaoke, gigantic flea market), clubs all around in Kreuzberg (that is a neighborhood) and Friedrichshain (also a neighborhood). People are friendly and speak plenty of English and it is completely safe as well.
If I were you I would find a choose one of these neighborhoods and pick a train station where you would want to head out from, then use this website. I plugged in a station already in Friedrichshain http://www.subwayhotels.com/Berlin/Warschauer-Strasse-hotels-517.html Shows all the surrounding hostels/hotels. Just keep an open mind, talk to everyone and Berlin will show you a great time. Plenty of internationals around as well.
But this just depends on what you can arrange I guess.

I'm not going to lie, when people ask me about my favorite cities in Europe, I automatically jump to Barcelona. The art, music, nightlife, and the architecture make Barcelona one of the best places I've ever been to. Gotta check out Las Ramblas, which is the lively street running down the middle of the city, Passeig del Born is an area where you would find small cafes and bars, and for a night out you might want to check out Placa Reial. On that note, you might want to check out Sidecar Factory for some Rock and Roll music but if you're in R&B and Jazz, Jamboree is the place to be. Both of those venues are in the Placa Reial square. Ashleigh, I will suggest you the Tuscany in Italy.. Tuscany was wonderful province of Italy.. And it was 2 hours travel from London to Florence, Italy. If you really get time, Please visit Tuscany and have fun..

Blimey that sounds great!
London and France you must do! But to add to your list and agree with previous posts, definitely hit up Berlin (the cheap alcohol is what always gets me here in Germany), and you must add Italy to your list. Any place really, but Rome and Venice are probably the best!
You can always go to London, France, Italy, and oh! Germany too! There's a lot of history in that place. But France and Italy were always the best. Spain too!
