Hi, there is a nice option, also in Cusco, Choquequirao trek, it's quite nice and also you will see a big archeological place. You can do it by your own or take the service of local agency. It's up to you.
But, you have not to miss Macchu Picchu, it's absolutely amazing.

I'm gonna be in peru in april, and I of course wanna do Machu Picchu. But I hear that the Inca Trail is over crowded and expensive.
Are there alternative routes wich people recomend taking istead of the inca trail? If so, do we still need to book it like 2 months in advance? (beeing that it's in low season, and an alternativ route)
