Slight change to above:
Ideally looking at following dates (to fit in full moon party):
24th April - Singapore
28th - Bangkok
(possibly spend time in Bangkok - bit nervous to do so alone)
28 - 30th - Take sleeper train to Koh Phangan (arrive the following day, so 30th/1st May - I've been advised by friends to get there a few days early for accommodation)
6th - Full moon party
Then head to other side for Phuket, Phi Phi etc for a couple of weeks
Head to Malaysia by train
Leave Malaysia 24th May (or thereabouts)
No dates set in stone, just works quite well for fitting in full moon. Plus Singapore Airlines have a super deal on atm!

I will be in Thailand for the Full Moon . Landing in BKK on the 4th of May and then flying into Koh Samui and then boat from there to Kho Phangan for Full Moon.
Take a look at my trip plans and see if you would want to rendezvous somewhere along the way.

I think I get back from my tour to Chiang Mai on the 5th May, does this give me enough time to get to the full moon party, and how do you get there from Bangkok?
Im travelling alone but I am eager to go and experience all the remote islands and of course the drunken fuelled parties on the beach.

I'm looking to come to Thailand beginning of May as I desperately need to get away for while! I currently work so I am only able to travel for 2 weeks but I was hoping I could meet some people I can buddy up with for my short trip! I've never travelled alone and i havent booked my ticket or anything yet as i really dont know what im doing! All I know is I want to go the full moon party and just generally have fun whilst experiencing some culture and lush Thai food! Any advice etc would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :D

YOu have pretty much summed up what journey I want to do and pretty much exactly the same time too ! This makes me very happy! I've never travelled before by my lonesome so meeting up with you would be pretty cool.
I'd probably be able to meet up in the Gulf of Thailand around the 3rd/4th May then head to full moon with you.
I'm 22, outgoing bubbly and a bit mental and I want a TOTAL culture shock, try everything, experience everything
Is this a stupid question (?) how do you go about meeting someone in a place like Thailand, as Im guessing the reception on phones are crap, do you make a meeting point or ... ?
