Im from Aust. south of Sydney and it's not really related to your post but i was wondering if you guys have travelled solo much before? What do you think of it? Im looking at travelling around the world by myself, early next year, for over a year. Plenty of people have told me its great alone and you make friends along the way but I'm still really unsure!!! Can you give me any tips. My hearts set on going I just don't know where to get started when your on your own.

haaa il let u know when i set off i leave for thailand on friday but have made friends online to meet up with whilst there and certain i will make many more along the way! its so easy! just plan a route, and once you know roughly when and where you will be, post on forums etc and you will soon be on your way jealous of you living in aus! where are you planning to go?
Hey ive got a few countries where i plan to go just because ive always been so curious. My family originally comes from Poland so Im goin to go there and other Countries in Europe. Want to see Canada too so I'm sure i'll see many other places on the way. Just want to get out and have a look and i've heard going alone is the way to do it. Australia is great for tourists, I'm not biased but the people here are friendly, but I cant say as compared to the rest of the world! That why I'm goin. Pretty excited, but also unsure!

I also leave for Sydney 24th of march!! Flying from Glasgow. Im 22 and also going it alone! My (very rough) plan is to stay in Sydney for a maybe 5 days then head down to Melbourne to check that out... internal flights are pretty cheap! Then most definitely heading to Byron Bay heard some amazing things about that place! I have a holiday visa so I am planning on working at some point haha maybe when I get to the Gold Coast or Brisbane... see how it goes

Hi Emma,
I'm going from Manchester (via Dubai) and should arrive on Sunday evening. My plan is also to stay in Sydney for 5 days then head up the east coast to Byron Bay. I only have 3 and a half weeks to do my travel in so I'm booked on the Oz Experience coaches. I'm also aiming to do Fraser Island, the Whitsundays, and Cairns etc.
I'm booked into Wake Up hostel for my 5 days in Sydney, how about you?
