Hostel - Kuala Lumpur

Well 2 weeks and im off around SE Asia for 6 months.

Hi,
I just stayed at Tune Hotel at Downtown KL, the location is good for it's near the MRT.
The room is not bad, the rainshower head is amazing! and I got the room for less than 50 MYR!
That is so cheap. Basic hostel, no frills, no luxury but damn cheap. Plus it's clean. Comfortable i can say. =)

Maybe, you would like to visit HK on April 13-17, I'm travelling alone.

Cheers!
Ann

Thank you Ann, I will have a look.

HK sounds good. Tell me more

I stayed in the Tune Hotel at the airport. It's a good deal for what it is, but they are so sterile. You get no flavor for the area you are staying in.

Reggae Guest House 2 is one of the most popular. It has dorms and private rooms. It's right in China town, clean and tidy with good service. You'll always meet up with fellow travelers there and the bar downstairs is a great local hangout.

If you want a place with some character, the Lok Ann round the corner from Reggae is a really fun place. It was built in the 1950's and I think some of the furniture is the original from that period! It's pretty basic, but with big rooms, the atmosphere is what I like about the place. About 55rm for your own room, or dorms from about 20 I think. The owners are really helpful and Helen on the front desk is full of information. They don't have a booking system, but you can email them on lokannhotel at hotmail.my

I hope Dodger was not talking about Reggae Mansion Kuala Lumpur.
