Kenya/Tanzania Rainy Season?

Can anyone advise of the weather/rain typical of Kenya and Tanzania for July 25th-August 30th

As far as I know most of Kenya and at least the north and east of Tanzania (the more popular areas) have rainy season from March to May and October to December.
More to the south, Tanzania has a rainy season from November til April.

Whatever your exact location, you are most likely to have the driest weather of the year....in theory It is the tropics so a downpour or two is possible and those nice thunderstorms are also nice

Thanks! Ive booked my flight now, very excited :-) am going to kenya for a month from 25th july. Any advice on must see, must do or not, hints tips travel companies please send them my way :-)

You are welcome! Although I have been to Kenya, it was just from Amboseli to Tsavo and relaxing at the coast afterwards, combined it with Tanzania, which definately is recommended if you have a month in total. Serengeti and Ngorongor are just fantastic.

You could contact a member here on TP: . He gives great info about Kenya and check few other threads at the Africa forum to see if there is more information there about Kenya.

If you need any particular advice on game drives, safaris, places to stay etc feel free to send me a personal mail. I've done over 50 safaris in the country and as a travel writer with a speciality in Kenya I have a few tips that may help.

Zaksame
