Hi I have just finished uni after 7 years part time and finished my training for four years with my company (construction) and became an assistant site manager and since I always wanted to go travelling and couldnt becuase of ex gf, uni, being a trainee at work I decided this is my chance so I asked work and they approved for me going away for a year!!! so I sorted my working/holiday visa out and planning to arrive in OZ in Feb 2013.
Im travelling on my own, and abit worried because i have never done such a thing and never been to OZ before so trying to find few people who are also doing the same thing before I go. so boys & girls if you are on the same route then lets do it!!

Me and my boyfriend are off to Oz in Feb too. We are heading to Brisbane first and like you will be our first time travelling.
We have our flights and visa sorted, just need to save save save now!!

That's amazing that you and you boyfriend going together well I haven't booked my ticket yet but I told work that I'm going in February so probably book my ticket in couple of months, to be honest I haven't decided yet I thought Sydney is the place most people start so was thinking to go there but I'm soo nervous about going there on my own because everyone seems to have a proper plan and I don't even have one! Haha so where are you two flying from? Where are you from of you don't mind me asking?

Nothing to worry about, that is exactly how I felt 12 years ago, but I never left. I arrived in Melbourne(I'm in the Construction Industry too) on an extended holiday, ended up enrolling in a Master Degree and then never left. You'l have fun, especially if unplanned.

Tripoholic!! I am so happy to read your message!! That is my plan get there do travelling for few months then try get into a construction firm And impress them even if it's volunteer work and hopefully get them to sponsor me! I have my degree and worked for one of uk's biggest firms and I have bundles of certificates and stuff, just. Red some luck and bit of direction, it'll be great if you could give me some advise mate, thanks
