Hi im matty, im 31 from bristol uk. I have been planning on going to thailand all year, I was going to go a few months ago but decided against going in the rainy season. today I woke up and decided I want to book my ticket now so I can start looking forward to my trip. so I went to trailfinders and booked my plane ticket, I fly from heathrow to bangkok on the 22nd october :-D im sooo excited!!! My airplane ticket is as far as I have got so far, I might book a hotel for the first couple of nights in bangkok but i'll leave that untill later to sort out.
I'm 21 from Bristol, heading to Thailand 5th November. Only staying there a month though & 1 week of that (or just under) will be spent in Cambodia. Then I'm off to Australia.

Do you have any plans while your over there or will you just take it as it comes? I missed out on khao san road when I went before so im thinking that will be the first thing I do, I dont have any plans but would like to head south to the islands and beaches, on my last visit to thailand I stayed in bangkok for a night or 2 then flew from bangkok to phuket so this this time im thinking about doing it on the train to kill some time and see/experience more along the way.
surghunt are you going it alobe or with friends?
katiesjm have you traveled alone before or will this be your first solo travels? how do you feel about going alone?
If any of us end up in the same place at the same time we will have to go for a beer or bucket ;-) same goes for anyone else thats reading this and will be in thailand at the same time :-)
Guys, I am planning a trip in November, maybe 3 weeks, no ticket, no plans, just know that I am going! First time travelling alone and feel pretty much the same, not sure what to expect but want have a great time. Let me know once you have firmed up your plans, would be up for a few beers, believe it I need one living in KSA (from Bristol before that).

Hi I'm 30 from Essex, first time going solo - doing 3months 1st Sept to 1st Dec.
Starting off in Bangkok then heading to Malay and Indo in Sept. October Vietnam and Cambodia, Nov Laos and Thailand.
I've booked a few hostels, flights etc, to ease myself in for the first month and a half. The rest take it as it comes. Mixed emotions- excited and totally s*itting it......
Am all for meeting new peeps and chilling with a few beers!
welcome cheekychap, do you know when you will be back in thailand for the final part of your travels? I'll message everyone that replys and get a email/contact from them so its easyer to meet up for a drink/meet up/travel while we are all away

Hey, yea I travelled a few years ago on my own around a bit of Asia, oz and new Zealand. it's the best to do it on your own, you can do exactly what you want then
Would be up for meeting up if we end up in the same place I'm planning on heading to the islands for a while.
